SUMMARY:2016 Nov Tech Meeting - GUIDE DOGS OF TEXAS PRESENTING
DESCRIPTION:November Program - Guide Dogs of Texas\n\n\n\nWhat does Big Data have to do with providing Guide Dogs for blind Texans? Behind every Guide Dog is an enormous\, messy\, complicated pile of data about their health\, temperament\, ancestry and training evaluations since the day they were born. Arising from this data are the critical decisions about which dogs should pass along their genes to future generations of Guide Dogs. Come visit with a Guide Dog and listen to Sandy Merrill talk about how Guide Dogs of Texas collaborates with Guide Dog Breeding Programs across the world\, and the pioneering move toward 'Big Data' analysis. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Technology Interest group meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at the North SA Chamber Board Room. It is a brown bag networking and leadership lunch where individuals can share their technology interests\, ideas\, and solutions ? no geek requirements needed and it promotes B2B relationships. The committee meeting is open to any North SA Chamber member\, no fee assessed and remember to bring your lunch.\n\n\n\n\n\nAs part of the Group?s continuing effort to make the Group more of a destination for North Chamber members\, we will open the networking period at the start of our meetings to assisting members with their technology related needs. If you have an information technology related question on project management\; HR services & systems\; systems or physical security\; technology staffing and training\; the challenges of getting value from your IT investments\; any of the new Microsoft\, Apple\, or Android products\; technology end-of-life recycling or disposal\; technology infrastructure including hardware\, networks and telecommunications\; technology and the law\; or any other related topic\, let Debby Zucker know at (210) 384-7720 so she can insure the appropriate person is available to meet with you.
