Business expectations for IT are rising at an accelerating rate and threaten to outpace IT capabilities and leadership. In 2008, business priorities are looking for IT to make the difference in enterprise strategy. CIOs recognize these expectations and see significant change on the horizon. CIOs must respond to these expectations by raising IT effectiveness, innovation and confidence, or face continued budget and cost pressure.
The business expects IT to make a difference with what they already have--that requires CIOs to think differently in 2008 and beyond, starting with their 2008 agenda and plans.
