IT has a responsibility to Incident Management within a firm, but it is important that this responsibility be shared with the functional community. While an incident may be encountered and addressed within IT, the impact many times is felt on a larger scale. Additionally, an incident may not be technical in cause, but IT may have a role to play in the company’s response or resolution. In this panel format, we will discuss approaches for preparation, mitigation, detection, response, resolution, and post mortem actions that we as IT leaders can take to reduce the impact an incident may have on our company as well as how lines of responsibility
