Topic:  Thinking Like a CFO: A Matter of Dollars and Sense

In today's economic environment, finding a balance through which IT investments help drive key business initiatives requires greater accountability on IT Management for commitments on cost savings and revenue increases that are made as part of the portfolio of business cases.  Given IT's record when it comes to implementing projects on-time, on budget, and to specification, it is easy to understand why the Finance department is skeptical and wants IT to deliver realistic budgets and project plans.
